The JULIE Lab is member of the SMITH consortia (Smart Medical Information Technology for Healthcare) as a part of the part of the Medical Informatics Initiative Germany, founded by German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Together with Institut für Klinische Chemie und Laboratoriumsdiagnostik (IKCL) of Jena University Hospital, Technologie- und Methodenplattform für die vernetzte medizinische Forschung (TMF) and Central service provider for information technology (IT) services to the University Hospital of Jena, the JULIE Lab is member of the DFG founded project “Semantische Textanalyse zur qualitätskontrollierten Extraktion klinischer Phänotyp-Information im Healthcare Integrated Biobanking”. The goal of the project consists of the detection of entities and their information to collect compare collective for more quantitative biobanking.
